So, trends: I have a love-hate relationship with trends. let me explain: When I see something for the first time on either a blogger, celebrity or even a random person on the street, I'll either love it or hate it. If I love it then, I'll probably hate it once everyone starts wearing it. If I hate it, I'll probably love it once I see more and more people wearing it.

For many years, I didn't like Halloween. I was not fond of the scary factor so I preferred to just ignore the day which was not very hard considering Halloween is more of a British/American thing.
As the years went by, though, Portuguese people started to jump on the Halloween band-wagon and trick or treating became a thing, as well as parties and Halloween decor.

When I was about fourteen, I started watching more and more scary movies (courtesy of a close friend the time) and fell in love with them. Of course, the love for Halloween soon followed. Halloween is now one of my favourite celebrations and I look forward to it all year.

In honour of this day, I decided to gather up a few films you can watch on Halloween (or all year-round really).Whether you're looking for a good jump-scare or you're just looking for a cute animated film, here is a list of 15 (of my favourite) films to watch this Halloween.

The Nightmare Before Christmas
Hotel Transylvania
Corpse Bride
The Conjuring
Midnight Meat Train
The Purge
Nightmare on Elm Street
Monster House
Hocus Pocus

What is your favourite Halloween film?

Wanting to know how people spend their mornings. Curiosity or just plain creepy? I don't know about you but I like it. I think these posts are actually very helpful. You see, these posts give you a glimpse of how other people organise their work, their personal life and everything in between. I always feel exceptionally motivated after reading routine posts. I feel ready to tackle my mornings and make the most of them.

It's finally starting to feel like Autumn here in Portugal (even though they say the temperatures will rise this Sunday) and I'm loving it. I was never really fond of Summer, mainly because I hate feeling hot and am not really fond of Summer clothing. I would switch a pair of shorts and a cute bikini for a big cosy coat and some booties.

In honour of this wonderful weather, I decided to compile the best fall booties all under 100£!

Boots can be expensive. I know they are something worth investing in but sometimes we just don't want to spend half of our income on boots. Especially if the boots are more of a trend than anything. This boot edit has a good amount of classic boots - those kinds of boots that never go out of style- as well as trendy boots - those you will probably only wear this year.

fall-lips-under-10€I was never too big on lipsticks when I was younger. My love for them only came about in the last two/three years. Before that my lips would either be completely bare or have some sort of lip balm on. I remember the first coloured lipstick I properly wore was one of the Baby Lips ones by Maybelline. I had told my mum I needed a new lip balm and she got me the red one. At first, it seemed really weird having colour on my lips (even though Baby Lips give more of a tint than anything, but still) but then I grew to love it and wouldn't go a day without wearing it.

Eventually, I upgraded to regular lipsticks. My Godmother gave me a bunch of lipsticks she had at home but never wore, including a bright pink Lancôme one and a dark red YSL Beauty one. I didn't go to those straight away, I went for the lighter colours first. Then one day at the age of 17, I discovered the lip liner. This was around the time Kylie Jenner's lips were the talk of the town and everyone was looking for the lip liner she used. I found a very similar colour from Essence and started wearing it. The formula was very creamy so I could easily use it on my whole lips and it would look like I was wearing lipstick.

My mom then suggested I used the lip liner with my YSL lipstick and let me tell you, that changed my life. Well, it didn't change my life but made me fall in love with lipsticks. I then started buying more and more lip liners and more and more lipsticks and now I have a bunch of them!

Okay, enough of my life story. Today I gathered my top 5 lipsticks for this Autumn/winter season. I will be wearing these a lot during the next few months.

By the way, can you see a pattern here? Yeah, I have a thing with nude lipsticks.

Essence Natural Kiss- This lipstick was actually bought for my little sister who's 14 years old now and already loves lipsticks - very different than me.- but she didn't like it.This matte lipstick is the lightest colour of the range and I normally use it with a darker lip liner so it doesn't match my skin tone and make me look like I have no lips.

Cien Nude Lips - This is actually a lip gloss and not a lipstick. For years I hated - and I mean hated- lip glosses, but lately they have been growing on me. This lip gloss is pigmented enough to wear it alone but I prefer to wear it over a regular lipstick for that extra shine.

Douglas Chic Smile -  This was my first liquid lipstick. I got a Douglas Cupon on my birthday and bought this gem for 2,50€! It's not the best liquid lipstick in the world. It transfers and it doesn't last for hours upon end but it's not as bad as others I've tried.

NYX RuffleTrim- Best. Lipstick. I own. I just love it. I love the colour, I love the formula. I just love it! This is my go-to liquid lipstick for my everyday makeup. I don't have a single bad thing to say about it. I can't wait to buy new ones. NYX is actually opening a store in Porto next week so I know I'm going to go there and go crazy haha.

Essence It's a Statement - This is the darkest colour of the Matte Matte Matte range by Essence. It's not a very usual colour for me, to be honest. I was never a big fan or red lipsticks. I liked this one because 1) it's matte and 2) it's a dark red. I don't wear it a lot, to be honest, I just wear it occasionally, but I made a promise to myself I would wear it more this season. Let's see how it goes.

Don't you just hate getting out of the house in the morning feeling cold and actually wearing a thick jacket, only for the temperature decide to shoot up immensely and leave you all hot and sweaty? Yeah, me too.

Wearing outfits that won't make you feel cold or hot can be a handful. It's just plain hard. You can't wear your favourite outfits (unless you live in Portugal like me where, right now, it's 32ºC) but you can't also bust out those chunky knits you've been dying to wear. That's where transitional outfits come in.

Today I gathered up 10 easy to recreate transitional outfits that you can wear at any time.

I love reading. Always have. My mum isn't very fond of reading and she didn't want me to be like her so she bought me tons of books from a very young age. My living room, bedroom and my sister's bedroom are filled with books my mum got us.

What I find interesting about the book collection my mum put up for me is that the books are completely different from one another in terms of genres. From encyclopedias to history books, to romances to DIY books, I have it all. I'm very glad my mum did this though. Literature became a huge part of my life because of her, so much so that I'm studying English and Spanish Lit in Uni.

I don't know if it is because of Halloween but I love reading eerie and mysterious books during Autumn. Truth is, I love reading those kinds of books all year -round but the urge is even stronger during this season. As I said, I think it's Halloween's fault!

With that being said, here are my top three picks for this autumn.

Dislciamer: all these synopsis are provided by goodreads

Across America a mysterious disease is turning ordinary people into raving, paranoid murderers who inflict brutal horrors on strangers, themselves, and even their own families.

Working under the government’s shroud of secrecy, CIA operative Dew Phillips crisscrosses the country trying in vain to capture a live victim. With only decomposing corpses for clues, CDC epidemiologist Margaret Montoya races to analyze the science behind this deadly contagion. She discovers that these killers all have one thing in common – they’ve been contaminated by a bioengineered parasite, shaped by a complexity far beyond the limits of known science.

Meanwhile Perry Dawsey – a hulking former football star now resigned to life as a cubicle-bound desk jockey – awakens one morning to find several mysterious welts growing on his body. Soon Perry finds himself acting and thinking strangely, hearing voices . . . he is infected.

The fate of the human race may well depend on the bloody war Perry must wage with his own body, because the parasites want something from him, something that goes beyond mere murder.

Infected is the first major print release from Internet phenom Scott Sigler, whose podcast-only audiobooks have drawn an immense cult following, with more than three million individual episodes downloaded. Now Sigler storms the bookstore shelves with this cinematic, relentlessly paced novel that mixes and matches genres, combining horror, technothriller, and suspense in a heady mix that is equal parts Chuck Palahniuk, Michael Crichton, and Stephen King.
Infected will crawl beneath your skin and leave fresh blood on every page.

In the last days before her death, Nel called her sister. Jules didn’t pick up the phone, ignoring her plea for help.

Now Nel is dead. They say she jumped. And Jules has been dragged back to the one place she hoped she had escaped for good, to care for the teenage girl her sister left behind.

But Jules is afraid. So afraid. Of her long-buried memories, of the old Mill House, of knowing that Nel would never have jumped.

And most of all she’s afraid of the water, and the place they call the Drowning Pool . . .

You know when you go to a website to shop for something but the amount of things available is so large you end up wanting everything and buying an excessive amount of things? That's exactly what I feel every time I shop at Zaful. I just love how Zaful has amazing things you can buy (some of them actual designer inspired things) and all super affordable. So, of course, when they asked me if I wanted to collaborate with them, I couldn't say no.

I ordered a total of 5 different things and today, I'm doing a little haul/review on all these items.

Flexible Mini Octopus Style Tripod Stand Holder For Mobile Phones

Let's start with the thing I'm most excited about. I've been looking for a small tripod for ages now but the ones I've found online were either too expensive or had really bad reviews. I was browsing through Zaful's website and stumbled upon this gem and I knew I had to get it.
I can already say I'm obsessed with this tripod. It's just the right size for me and what I want to with it. I've already used it to take some cool pictures (stay tuned- you'll see them soon!). This tripod also comes with a little phone holder thing you can attach to the top, so if you don't have a camera, you can still buy it.

Rhinestone Chain Necklace  / 3 Pieces Moon Star Bracelets / Simple Steel Mesh Band Quartz Watch

I've always been a silver jewellery girl. I don't know why but I always gravitate towards silver instead of gold. I think, before I bought these beauties, I only had a pair gold of earrings, a gold bracelet and a gold necklace. However, most of my bags have gold hardware on them and that was the main reason I decided to get these items.

I got this rhinestone choker so I could layer it with other chokers and necklaces. I'm too big on shiny jewellery but I've seen a few pictures on Pinterest of girls layering all kinds of necklaces and it looks really pretty so I decided to get it and try it out. I also decided to get these simple bracelets. I not really fond of stars and moons on jewellery, to be honest but I actually thought these were cute. They are not too big so they go quite unnoticed. To go with the bracelets, I decided to get this gold watch I had my eye on for quite a while. I love the design of it: it's a statement piece but at the same time it's quite minimalist-looking.

I will say though, these pieces tend to lose their colour as you wear them, as it happens with all not real gold or silver jewellery. I recommend you coat them with clear nail varnish before using them.

Mock Neck Flare Sleeve Floral Embroidered Sweater

I was never a big fan of embroidery if I'm honest. I don't know, it just reminded me of my grandma's blankets. However, when I was browsing through Zaful's website my mum pointed this jumper out saying she saw a girl wearing that same jumper on Instagram. She then proceeded to show me the picture and I really liked how the girl styled the jumper. She was wearing black jeans, OTK's, a white shirt under the jumper and the actual jumper itself. Then she had a red bag on her hand as well as a black oversized coat. Right up my alley. I looked at my mum and she just said 'Get it'. And I did. I bought the largest size they had, a Large but was a bit disappointed when the jumper arrived. It's too tight for me to wear anything underneath. I still love it though. I'll just probably style it a different way now. Maybe the jumper tucked into some mom jeans or baggier trousers, some trainers and a small bag.
So yeah, if you're thinking about buying this jumper, definitely size up.

What's your favourite item of this haul? Have you ever bought anything from Zaful?

Who hasn't heard of Zaful before? I mean, the brand is everywhere! Just before I started writing this, I was scrolling through Instagram and saw a girl wearing a gorgeous white sweater from the brand.
Of course, when they contacted me asking if I wanted to collaborate with them, I couldn't say now, so here I am with yet another wishlist.

Let me know if you've ever ordered from Zaful before what your favourite pieces are!

Don't let the leaves on the ground fool you! These photos were taken just yesterday (7th of October) and the temperature was around 30ºC. I know, tragic.
Anyways, I made a little effort and endured a bit of heat to bring you guys this outfit.

As some of you might know, I've partnered up with Rosegal in the past (here's my latest wishlist from the brand) and loved it. So obviously, when they asked me if I wanted to collab again, I couldn't say no. This time, they sent me these trousers and this blouse. At the time, these items were actually featured together on their website so I thought I should just wear them together as well.

I love the athleisure trend: wearing sports-inspired clothing and pairing it with a smart shirt, smart bottoms or even heels. You feel comfortable but look put together at the same time.
These jogger-inspired trousers are super comfortable even though they are not made of cotton like regular joggers. I love the pop of red down the side as red is a HUGE trend this A/W.
The shirt, even though it is a white shirt and a wardrobe basic, can also be considered a trendy piece because of its sleeves. Lately, I've been obsessed with flare sleeves so when I saw this shirt, I knew I had to have it. I also love the neckline: it's not your regular shirt neckline as the collar sits on your shoulders and not on your neck. These little details can give your outfits a whole new look.

Trousers - c/o Rosegal
Trainers- Vans

Alongside the clothing items, I also received these gorgeous marble makeup brushes that I featured in my 'How I Organise My Makeup Post'. Me being the marble obsessed blogger that I am had to get them not only for makeup purposes but also for blog prop purposes. Yes, I'm one of those people haha. But aside from being aesthetically pleasing, these brushes are the softest thing ever! I've ditched all my other brushes and started to apply my makeup only with these brushes.

Have you ever ordered from Rosegal?

Last month I wrote a post called 'September Playlist' where I showed you guys a few songs I've been listening to during that month. That post went quite well so I decided to do another one.

Not that I'm complaining though, I love this time of the year. I have to say though, it still doesn't feel like fall to me since the temperature as I'm writing this is about 30ºC.
