January Favourites

January was a busy month for me. I spent most of it studying for finals and working on my blog. I'm pretty sure I only wore makeup 7 or 8 times but even though that was the case, I still got a few favourites to share.

I think I only did a monthly favourites post about 2 times before but lately, I've been reading a lot of these posts from my favourite bloggers and decided to gather up my favourite items and write about them.

I've been loving the Revox Anti-Spot Serum not much because I feel like it reduced my dark circles and red spots but because it works great as a primer. It gets super tacky so my foundation sticks to it perfectly and makes it last longer too.

I absolutely love the Better Than Sex Mascara from Too Faced! I've always been obsessed with mascaras and big eyelashes and I love what this mascara does to my lashes. They become super long, with tons of volume and they don't get clumpy and all stuck together.

Also from Too Faced, I'm really enjoying the Born This Way Concealer. It covers up my dark      circles and red spots pretty good, it doesn't crack and looks flawless.

A friend of mine gifted this Catrice Prime and Fine Professional Contouring Palette to me this month saying she also uses it and really likes it. I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Catrice to be honest. Some products of theirs I love and other I absolutely hate. I didn't know if I'd like this palette or not but after using it a few times I have to say I love it! I have very pale skin so contouring and bronzing is always quite hard as I need cool-tones browns and all I seem to find is warm-toned browns wich look like mud on my face. This brown is perfect for me. As for the highlighter, it's not the best things ever, but if you're into a more subtle glow, it's great. I am all about glowing to the gods so I don't really use the highlither.

This next product was kind of a re-discovery. I've had this Catrice Prime and Fine Smoothing Refiner for quite a while now and I used to use it as a primer, placing it all over my face. I hated it to be honest. It's not sticky so the foundation doesn't stick to it very well and the duration of my foundation was the same as if I didn't use a primer. I quickly put it aside. This month though, I decided to give it another try, this time only using it in the areas were my pores are more visible aka my nose, chin and under-eye area. Then I used the serum I mentioned above on top. this created the perfect canvas. This product smooths out my skin perfecty and hides my pores so my foundation glides on perfectly.

What were your favourite beauty products from last month?
